Passing on a savings....

My Epson printer is years old.  I was running really low on two of the ink cartridges and I don't usually wait till they actually run out.  The black was beginning to smudge as the lite cyan and lite magenta were running really low on ink, so I figured well,  maybe the printer is on its way out, its old enough.  I went to Staples to buy the two that was out,  but they only had the package that contains all the inks which is $100. So I went on Amazon to find just the two I needed and they were expensive buying them individually.  Lo and behold they had what they call remanufactured EZ-inks.

I didn't realize they had such an animal.  The whole kit and caboodle (that's 7 cartridges) for $30.00 -  that included shipping! I don't know if you really can go by comments, but they were mostly positive.  I figured I would gamble and see if they worked.  They sure did.  I saved $70 bucks and the printer is working fine.  For how long I don't know cause it is old but hey, until it bites the dust it is just fine.  I haven't used the printer for my greeting cards as yet, but worked well for the following pattern I printed out, so I see no reason it shouldn't.  All these years I could have been saving bucks, lol....

I don't get anything for telling you this.  I am just passing on some info in case you want to give this a try.  I love saving money.  I did get a message that told me it wasn't Epson inks and it might be harmful to my printer when I put them in.  I don't see how that could be.  The cartridges look exactly like the ones I use and the printer is going to die one of these days, anyway. So I disregarded the message and continued on my merry way.   I really like this printer and hope it lasts a while because I know how to use it and hate learning new machines.  Well that is my tale for today.  Hugs, LJ

  7. Oh that is fantastic that you were able to find such a good deal. I think they have to say that message, but if you were thinking of buying a new printer anyway, why not give it a try. How wonderful you can go back to making your cards. I am with you, I hate learning a new machine.
