Embroideries are done.... YAY....

Here is the layout of the baby quilt:

I have another project to finish before I can cut the sashing and border for the quilt... Dang!!!

I am thinking of getting a different fabric (plain) for the sashing.  Maybe matching the brown or gold in the animal fabric. I think it wouldn't take away from the embroideries and better enhance them.

Hugs, LJ

  1. I love what you have shown us with the quilt colors. I think it works great together. Those are darling embroideries. Even if you change colors I am sure the quilt will turn out wonderful. It is very pretty.

  2. This is sweet as can be. I think a plain sashing would allow the embroidery to show up better, too. God bless you both this weekend. xo

  10. Lady Jane, your embroidered quilt is beautiful. I learned to embroider about 70 years ago or maybe 73 or so from my grandmother, who also taught me to hemstitch. I haven't done either in so very many years but I still appreciate all the work that goes into this. Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope to have something new on it next Friday.

  11. I think the brown or gold would look good too, maybe with a tiny print like on the green you have here. This is looking so good. can't wait to see the finished quilt.

  14. I like it as is. I think if you keep the background simple, the embroideries will show up better. Love it!
