Yucca

My yucca plant is doing so well this year.  Usually I get one stock,  but this year I have 3.  The other one on the other side of the shed only has one and has not bloomed yet.

I was told by my Dr. that I am borderline diabetic so I am going to try to watch my carbs. If there are some blogs out there you know of that are informative please let me know.

Also hubby having some health issues again.  I will keep in touch by trying to visit your blogs often, but will be posting every week or so .

Love to All, LJ

  1. Hi, Sorry to hear about your husband and your borderline diabetes. I will pray for you both. Google American Diabetes Assoc. - they have wonderful recipes to share. Also, if any dr. suggests you have cortisone injections for pain, mention the borderline diabetes. Cortisone can greatly affect blood sugar. Thanks for sharing the pretty yucca bloom.

  2. One of my friends eliminated carbs completely and her type 2 disappeared. I, however, could never survive w/o at least some carbs. I picked up some recipe books off Amazon that have been helpful for food prep for my hubby and inlaws who flirt with diabetes too.

  4. I hope you can get your health issue under control. I have a friend who said the book "Wheat Belly" helped her with her diabetes, not sure how. Good luck.

  5. The Yucca is very pretty, but out here where we live, they have taken over. They are very pretty when they are all in bloom, but are hard to get rid of if they decide to take over a garden space. LOL. Hope your and your husband's health issues get under control

  14. Your Yucca plant is so pretty, hope the other one catches up. Cut down on carbs but don't eliminate them altogether, you need some to maintain your energy. Lots of exercise will help. Saying a prayer for you both! Love ya!

  15. Your yucca is so pretty. Do the blossoms attract butterflies and bees ? I remember a few years ago my husband & I took a trip through California and saw yuccas growing and blooming wild all over the hills alongside the freeways. They were stunning growing amidst the scrub and barren hills.

I hope your husband's health problems are easily resolved.
